Dear convert-me.com forum visitors,
Our forum has been available for many years. In September 2014 we decided to switch it to read-only mode. Month after month we saw less posts with questions and answers from real people and more spam posts. We were spending more and more resources cleaning the spam until there were less them 1 legitimate message per 100 spam posts. Then we decided it's time to stop.
All the posts in the forum will be available and searchable. We understand there are a lot of useful information and we aren't going to remove anything. As for the new questions, you can always ask them on convert-me.com FaceBook page

[color=indigo][/ My son has to take medication. The bottle says to take 5 miligrams but, the syringe they gave him with the medication is in mililiters help me convert it. Then the Pharmacist said to take one teaspoon. What is the conversion for 5mg. to ml. :? [/code][/i]

In liquid medicines, the active ingedient is dissolved in a carrier liquid. The dosage given in milligrams is only the active ingredient, so it is not easy to say. The liquid probably weights about 1 g (1000 mg) per mL. But that is not the right factor.
There should be some indication of strength or dilution on the bottle. It should say how many milligrams of active ingredient are in 1 milliliter of solution. Without that information, there is no way to figure it out.
