I found one reference, made in passing, on another site that said when converting from on unit to another the only significant digits that matter are those in the original value, because the conversion multiplier is based on a factual definition. Is that correct???
I'm concerned with converting from imperial to metric, i.e. inches to millimeters or lb to kg.

Our forum has been available for many years. In September 2014 we decided to switch it to read-only mode.
