Hey all...
I have a question, and I hope it makes sense. Here goes:
If I have a vehicle that weighs some amount, and moves at some speed, does the force at which the vehicle impacts another object relate to the vehicle's speed and weight?
If so, is there a way to calculate the force the moving vehicle imparts on another object when it collides?
Let's say I have a car that weighs 4,000 pounds, and is moving at 10 mph... what force does this produce at impact? How about the same car moving at 60 mph?
Thanks, and sorry for the dumb question!
