There are 43,560 square feet in an acre, so divide the square footage by 43,560 to get acreage.
For square or rectangular areas with 90º corners, multiply length x width to get square feet.
For a triangle where the length of all three sides are known, use Heron's formula to obtain square feet. Heron's formula is:
The square root of (s (s-a) (s-b) (s-c)). "s" is the semiperimeter and is obtained by: 0.5 (a + b + c); where a, b and c are the lengths of each particular side.
