Assuming that 5/8" is the bore or intenal diameter of your pipe then its area is Pi x (5/16)² = 0.307 in². Volume is hose length x area = 600 x 0.307 = 184.2 in³.
If your hose is 5/8" outside diameter, I'd guess its bore is ½", so area = Pi x (¼)² = 0.196 in² & volume = 117.8 in³.
