Imperial or US gallons?
The volume of a rectangular solid is V = lwh
so V = 36" x 24" x 18 " = 15552 in³
NOTE: The volume of water it will hold is based on the inside, not the outside dimensions)
A US gallon is 231 in³, so 15552/231 = 67.3 US gallons.
An Imperial gallon is 277.42 in³, so 56.1 Imp. gallons.
I thought Canada was metric? (It's 255 L)
