To determine the volume you need, you need to know the area (which you have) and the thickness you want. You may know the thickness in inches, but divide by 12 to express in feet.
Lets suppose you want it 6" thick, which is 0.5 ft. Then the volume you need is 783 sq. ft x 0.5 ft = 391.5 cu ft.
There are 27 cu ft/ cu yard, so 391.5 x 1/27 = 14.5 cu yd. You will probably need to order 15 cu yd.
