Wire and sheet metal gauges would in fact be very helpful. I realize the stated purpose of this site, and limits it must determine and observe. While your comment about standardized sizes to another posting on this site are effectively correct, this merely indicates that clear definitions exist, and are set in varied units.
Please add gauges for wire and sheet metal to your site.

Our forum has been available for many years. In September 2014 we decided to switch it to read-only mode. Month after month we saw less posts with questions and answers from real people and more spam posts. I would second this. While you're at it, sites which mention AWG often also mention circular mils. Wikipedia for example has some formulae for the conversion from diameter to AWG (in the American wire gauge article).

Gouges are industry set measures and some time specific to given material e.g. gouges for wire could have SST wire, copper wire, spring steel wire, gauges for wire-like syringe needles etc. They are coming in table format not appropriated for formula transfer.
