Dear convert-me.com forum visitors,

Our forum has been available for many years. In September 2014 we decided to switch it to read-only mode. Month after month we saw less posts with questions and answers from real people and more spam posts. We were spending more and more resources cleaning the spam until there were less them 1 legitimate message per 100 spam posts. Then we decided it's time to stop.

All the posts in the forum will be available and searchable. We understand there are a lot of useful information and we aren't going to remove anything. As for the new questions, you can always ask them on convert-me.com FaceBook page

Thank you for being with us and sorry for any inconveniences this could caused.

Thank you for the suggestion. We would be happy to add jet fuel and aviation fuels to our conversion. However we are not experts in those so we would need an information of what common sorts of fuels are there and what density (or specific gravity) they have. If you could provide this information, we’d be happy to add fuels to our online conversion page.

There used to be a range of weights that jet fuel could weigh ... depending on which region of the world might still be so.

The precise weight in any particular choice of volume relies on type.

. . . and the API gravity. Although a range of weights for various types of jet fuel could be given here, the precise weight of jet fuel varies and is dependent on API gravity. An approved cylinder must be used along with an annually certified hydrometer to make that determination.
