I suppose you can fill a manometer with carbon tet instead of of water or mercury and use it as a pressure gauge. It seems a nasty chemical for it though. I can only find an approximate specific gravity of 1.6, so vs a water column of same height, the pressure would be 1.6 x higher (a better figure would be desirable) or the column would be 1/1.6 the height.
35.0 psi x 6894.76 Pa/psi x 1 mm H2O/9.8 Pa x 1 cm/10 mm = 2462 cm H2O.
Since carbon tet has specific gravity of 1.6 that would be ~1539 cm (yes, over 15 m, quite a column)
