Our forum has been available for many years. In September 2014 we decided to switch it to read-only mode. Month after month we saw less posts with questions and answers from real people and more spam posts. We were spending more and more resources cleaning the spam until there were less them 1 legitimate message per 100 spam posts. Then we decided it's time to stop.

I am making a russian recipe and it call for a glass of sugar what is a glass? and how much is 300 g of butter?

The butter is easy, about 0.66 lbs. So use two sticks of butter plus five tablespoons from a third stick.

On the sugar, I'm guessing, but a glass holds about as much as a cup. So I'd use one measuring vup of sugar.

If it is a Russian recipe, I a glass most probably means about 200ml.
