I'm currently translating an American book into French. I regularly use Convert-me for converting all the ingredients of the book, but I can't find sunflower seeds. Could someone tell me how much 1 cup of hulled sunflower seeds weighs?
Thank you!
Go to
http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcomp/search/, type in "sunflower" and submit. You'll get a number of choices . . . hulls on or off, raw, dry roasted, oil roasted, salted and unsalted. I didn't realize there were that many types of prepared sunflower seeds.
For example: sunflower seed kernels, dry roasted, with salt added weighs 128 grams/cup. It also lists the nutritional values if you need them.
You may want to bookmark the site if you do this frequently. Although the database is rather archaic, it's an excellent reference.
