You would need to determine the weight of 1 L of solution in kilograms, and divide by it. If it is a dilute solution in water, the eright will be very close to 1 kg/L; a strong solution may need a slight correction factor.
Lets say you have an x mg/L solution and 1 L weighs y kilograms,
then x mg/l x 1L/y kg = (x/y) mg/kg
Since mg and kg are 10^6 apart, that is also weight ppm.
