So just divide the minutes by 60' to convert it to a fraction of a degree, add to the whole degrees
121°20' = 121 + 20/60 = 121.33°
Since many of the numbers aren't exactly divisible by 60, some rounding occurs. One solution is to carry a guard digit, 121.333°, through any further computations and only round the final answer.
