Our forum has been available for many years. In September 2014 we decided to switch it to read-only mode. Month after month we saw less posts with questions and answers from real people and more spam posts. What kind of ppm? Ppm is meaningless unless you specify whether it is a ratio by weight, volume, or mole fraction. It is better to state it explicitly as a ratio with units 10^6 apart such as mg/kg, mL/kL, µmol/mol
If it is not by weight, what is the "pollutant"? It's density or molecular weight will be needed to convert it to micrograms.
What is the main part, the "million parts." Depending on its initial units, it may need to be converted to volume.
