On Earth (if the gravity = ten)
If something weighs 605kg what would its mass be...
Or is it that mass and weight are the same in this instance and the 605kg has been labelled wrong, as i thought weight was measured in newtons.

Kg is a unit of mass, not weight. Weight should be measured in newtongs. Weight and Mass are often confused and it is customary not to make distinction of them in ordinary life (on the Earth surface)
