In the Imperial English measurement system, the smallest unit of length is the inch. The inch is then divided into smaller fractional portions, such as 1/2 inch, 1/4 inch, 1/8th inch, 1/16th inch, and so forth. frustrating and complex, and an excellent example of why the SI is a vastly supperior system of measurement.
3/4 of an inch is 3 ÷ 4, or 0.75 inches. As one inch is 2.54 cm, that would be 2.54 cm/in x 0.75 in = 1.905 cm.
