A trowel sized 1/4" x 1/4" square notch held at a 90 degree angle will leave two beads of adhesive 1/4" wide and 1/8" high by 1" long for every square inch. The problem I am having is this: at this rate of application, how many square feet of material should be spread per US gallon? I am told by manufacturer that it should be 35 square feet per gallon but I am getting only 20.
