how many ug in 1 mg?
The units you're asking about are milligram (mg) and microgram (µg)
In both cases, the base unit is the gram. The m and µ in front of the g are prefixes. (n.b. µ is the greek letter 'mu').
Profixes tell us to do something to the base unit. In this case, milli means "multiply by one thousandth", and micro means "multiply by one millionth."
Therefore one milligram (mg) is 0.001 grams, and one microgram (µg) is 0.000001 grams.
There are 1,000 micrograms (µG) in one milligram (mg)
