The best way to find equivalents is to use the USDA database. It will give you nutritional information for an ingredient stated in both grams and customary equivalent.

As an example, 1 cup of granulated sugar is 200 g.
Form a ratio to convert other quantities
125 g sugar x 1 cup sugar/200 g sugar = 0.625 cups sugar.
Unfortunately, this a decimal, not the common fractions usually used. However, it is 5/8 cup of sugar or five ounces (or 1/2 cup + 2 tablespoons.)
The conversion of a decimal to a common fraction is very annoying. If you plan a lot of metric cooking, you may want to get a scale and weigh the ingredients in grams.
All purpose flour is 1 cup = 125 g
Powdered sugar has two values.
1 cup = 100 g sifted, or 120 g unsifted
I'll leave conversion of the recipe amounts as an exercise.
