Dear convert-me.com forum visitors,
Our forum has been available for many years. In September 2014 we decided to switch it to read-only mode. Month after month we saw less posts with questions and answers from real people and more spam posts. We were spending more and more resources cleaning the spam until there were less them 1 legitimate message per 100 spam posts. Then we decided it's time to stop.
All the posts in the forum will be available and searchable. We understand there are a lot of useful information and we aren't going to remove anything. As for the new questions, you can always ask them on convert-me.com FaceBook page

I just received a new prescription. My old one was 0.15MG. My new one is (was suppose to be) 125MCG. When the pills arrived, the bottle says 0.125MG. What I'd like to know is, what would the 0.15MG be in MCG? The dosage is suppose to be for less, but I'm confused and Dr.'s office is closed now. Is the decimal moved the only difference? Thanks for help.

1000 µg = 1 mg.
The abbreviation mcg for µg isn't really encouraged, but it is used when the font set doesn't have the Greek letter "mu" (µ).
Some people use ug.
It just moves the decimal point 3 places, so
150 µg = 0.15 mg, and
125 µg = 0.125 mg
So it is a smaller dosage, but not by a huge amount, a little smaller.
