Our forum has been available for many years. In September 2014 we decided to switch it to read-only mode. Month after month we saw less posts with questions and answers from real people and more spam posts. DSLR camera maximum veiwing distance.

How do you convert the maxium viewing distance of a 35mm camera with say a 300mm lens attached. What is the formula for this type of conversion.

I'm not understanding your question. Can you elaborate?
There is no "maximum viewing distance" as the lens can be focused at infinity. Are you asking about acceptable circles of confusion for the 35mm film or digital formats, i.e., "depth of field"?
Your title states DSLR, your post states 35mm. Be aware DSLR and 35mm are different formats.
