I'm not sure what "w" represents. If it is watts it should be "W"
However, 1 ft is legally defined as 0.3048 m, so
w/ft² x (1 ft/0.3048 m)² = w/m²
The numerical factor is equvilent to multiplying by 10.7639 ft²/m²
