Let's say the roll is 60"w.
Grams in 1 oz = 0.03527 g/oz
M^2 in 1 Yd^2 = 0.836127 m^2/yd^2
Formula: oz/yd^2 = g/m^2 * 0. 03527 g/oz * 0.836127 m^2/yd^2.
The width is 60”, over 1 linear yard. To get oz per linear yard (with a width of 60”), we need to convert width/inches to width/yards so: 60” / 36” = 1.6667. (Note: this way, you can change the width from 60” to any width you need). Plug this into the above formula, so:
oz/lin yd @ 60” wide = g/m^2 * 0. 03527 g/oz * 0.836127 m^2/yd^2 * 1.667 width/yards.
You can simplify this for a 60" width by multiplying known factors together,
Simplified formula: oz/lin.yard @ 60” = g/m^2 * 0.04916
Example: If you have 100 g/m^2: 100 * 0.04916 = 4.916 oz/linear yard @ 60” wide
