55000 ft² x 1 ft = 55000 ft³
55000 ft³ x 1 yd³/27 ft³ = 2037 yd³
The 27 comes from
1 yd = 3 ft
1 yd³ = (3 ft)³ = 3³ ft³ = 27 ft³
