Is PSI and PSIG the same?

If not how would I convert PSIG to PSI? For example 42PSIG

PSIG stands for pressure per sq. inch gage. It means that when your gage is calibrated at certain altitud and room tempereture it's only acurate for local use. In other words if the same gage already calibrated is taken to another location with different altitud and temp. You will not get the same results. PSI is PSIG.

1 atmosphere = 14.7 psia = 0 psig. PSIG is gauge pressure, while PSIa is atmospheric pressure plus guge pressure.
