Our forum has been available for many years. In September 2014 we decided to switch it to read-only mode. 500g Al--mass of a cube of Au of same dimensions

What conversion formula is used here? I am trying to find the dimensions of a cube of gold based on the weight of a cube of Al. First I would need to fid the dimension of the cube of Aluminium, but how do I do that?

Look up the density of gold and aluminum, make sure the units are the same, both g/cm^3 or kg/m^3
Multiply 500 g x Au density/Al density
You don't really need the volume but dividing 500 gram by the density of aluminum will give you to you, but watch the units.
