Right, well let's approach it logically (and mathematically)

1cm = 0.01 m
0.01 * 0.01 * 0.01 = 0.000001 so 1 cm^3 = 0.000001 m^3

Now we should all know that 1 litre = 0.0001 m^3 so therefore 1 cm^3 = 0.001 litres, otherwise known as a millilitre (ml).

so 1.6 litres contains 1600 ml (or cubic cm)
24 500 cubic cm is 24.5 litres.
