Anybody know how to get rid of the *** spam? It appears to be posting in every forum and blog on the internet.
I went to the *** website but couldn't stand to look at all the **** long enough to find a support contact.
I thought file sharing, especially ***, was illegal !!!! If you know how to block **** on my blog, please forward me the information.

Our forum has been available for many years. In September 2014 we decided to switch it to read-only mode. Month after month we saw less posts with questions and answers from real people and more spam posts. We were spending more and more resources cleaning the spam until there were less them 1 legitimate message per 100 spam posts. Then we decided it's time to stop.
All the posts in the forum will be available and searchable. We understand there are a lot of useful information and we aren't going to remove anything. As for the new questions, you can always ask them on convert-me.com FaceBook page

We try to keep it off the site here by deleting these spam posts but it's practically a full time job. I'm not sure even a members only posting policy would help kill it all.
As far as keeping it off your blog, I don't know, except by deletion. You may be able to write a script to automatically delete some of the offending stuff if your ISP can or will even allow it.
Maybe someone else with some ideas can post here.
