you can't. they are two different things. unless i suppose you knew how much your liquid weighed...
so 5 mg/kg = 5 mg/L if your liquid weighs 1 kg/L
and 10 mg/L if your liquid weighs .5 kg/L
otherwise...
mg/kg is most often used as a drug term.
For example, a 30g Mouse is given 50 mg/kg avertin.
which is 30g * 1kg/1000g * 50 mg/1 Kg = 1.5 mg total drug.
mg/L is a dilution. so 50mg Trypan Blue in 100 mL water = 500 mg/L
you cant really convert from one to the other...
